![]() ![]() I did plan to purchase a license for this program sometime very soon even though I don't need the Blu-Ray functionality but I definitely consider this current problem one that the author needs to address and prevent from occurring in the future. Yes, I could screw around with the system clock/date just to get the program to work but I refuse to do that. Regardless of that I found myself unable to launch the program yesterday to quickly rip an SD DVD to an MKV on my HDD so that I could stream it to another device. I tried installing Makemkv 1.8.11 on my computer - windows 7 - and it installs. I am getting an 'application version is too old' even though I have a registration key. The error suggests that the application is too old. Personally, I use the software for quickly converting my SD DVDs to MKV and have no need for the Blu-Ray capabilities. I heard about makeMKV yesterday, downloaded the most recent beta to give it a shot last night and I have the same problem - the 'This application version is too old' message pops up before I can do anything else and 'OK' (the only option) closes the application entirely. I have suddenly started to get an error when loading MakeMKV. Have you enter that paid lisence key to MakeMKV Go to your home directory. Downloaded updated version and I still get. Unfortunately, the author has failed to release an update before the expiration which is a serious annoyance. the big problem with this though is that you cant really use the search as 'too old' has 2 words of 3 letters each and any words with 3 or less letters get ignored by the search in here apparently. I have MakeMKV 1.10.0 64-bit on my Debian Jessie and it works like charm. Hi, Yesterday I went to open mkv and it stated that my version was to old and to download updated version. I believe that the whole point of the expiration is to not have people using really old beta versions especially after the product is out of beta testing. ![]()
